Head of the Antitrust & Competition Practice
Yariv is a partner and heads of the Antitrust & Competition practice area of the firm. Yariv provides expert counseling on wide-ranging antitrust matters to leading Israeli corporations, concerning, among others, the legality of restrictive arrangements; approving an arrangement before the Antitrust Tribunal; applying for an exemption before the General Director of the Antitrust Authority; preparing merger notifications and engaging in pre-ruling procedures; addressing monopolization claims; constructing and implementing internal compliance programs, and representing clients before the Antitrust Authority, the Antitrust Tribunal and the Courts.
Over the years, Yariv has been professionally recognized as an expert in the fields of Competition and Antitrust by both Israeli and International ranking guides such as Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.
Prior to joining Lipa Meir, Yariv worked for the Antitrust Authority, as a member of the OECD accession mission; he then joined a well-established Tel-Aviv legal practice, specializing in antitrust.
Yariv serves as a lecturer for European Union Law in the University of Haifa, and a guest lecturer on antitrust and regulation in various national and international forums. Additionally, Yariv publishes articles in academic and non-academic circles. Yariv also serves as vice chairman of the Israel Bar Association committee on Antitrust Law.
