What are job seekers’ rights and which laws apply to employers?
Shabi (Shabtai) Michaeli, partner and Head of Labor Law and Labor Relations Department, makes some sense in the wild jungle of job seekers.
“For the first time since 2015, employers are now required by law to notify a job applicant in writing about the continuation of the hiring process and if they have been accepted.
The law requires the employer to provide written notice, by email or text message, to the applicant about their progress. If accepted, the notice will be delivered, at most, 2 months after the job interview, the acceptance or adjustment tests. Notice of non-acceptance of the job will be given to the applicant no later than 14 days from the date when another person was accepted to the post.”
